Current Climate
Osaka lies along the Osaka bay which is at the eastern end og the Indland Sea, which in turn is on the delta of the Yodo River. The city's metropolitan area covers multiple deltas and uplands. The climate of the city, feautures cool winters,hot humid summers and a annual rainfall of about 54 inches;along with occasional typhons.
Climate change Problems
For about 20 years, starting in the 1950s, due to the cities rapid industrilization, Osaka became an extremely polluted city. Due to being once so polluted Osaka has risen from the ashes and become a leading city in Japan, in using sustianble and green energy. Many measures are taken up by the city to prevent pollution problems as have been in the past.
